I am a child of the 90`s, part of “Generation Y” and the name says it all. Even though I have now given up the habit of asking "why", healthy curiosity and a sincere interest in the person I'm talking to are still among my strengths. I grew up in the Ruhr area, went to school in Düsseldorf, studied psychology in Swabia, lived in Southafrica for a year and now usually stay in the Middle Rhine Valley and Rhine-Main area in Germany. In short: I got around and have seen a lot.
In case you are wondering why I am offering Counseling and Coaching in English in Germany: German is my mother tongue, still I am quite fluent in English. I really enjoy being around people with different culture and background. Also in terms of equality, I think everyone should have access to Counseling and Coaching, not only people who are fluent in German.
For almost 10 years, I have been working with clients on their problems and questions as part of my work at a counseling center. Over time, I realized that instead of the problems, I was more interested in the person's individual resources, skills and motivations.
Instead of trying to figure out exactly how the problem arose, I much prefer to focus my own and my clients energy on the goal or solution. It is important to me not to set a goal or a solution myself, but rather to use (probing) questions, ideas and suggestions to create a framework in which clients make decisions themselves, think about their actions and the consequences and reactions of others to them.
Not only because of my psychology studies, I am familiar with everyday work in psychological and psychiatric settings. Especially these days, the conditions here are often not as ideal as would be desirable. I am very passionate about supporting teams from this working environment in developing their full potential and exploiting the limits of what is possible.
The issue of equality is very important to me, and not just in my work. I have had insights into many work areas in which women are still disadvantaged (sometimes unintentionally and for structural reasons). Therefore, it is very important to me to support women in particular in a professional context.
I find reading classic CVs pretty boring, so I'll only present the highlights here. I would be happy to provide more information upon request.
